About Us

MONCADA RANGEL - Architects

Architecture, but also Urban and Territory Thinkers, Design, Interiors, Art Direction, Curatorial Practice, Teachers.

We don’t feel comfortable about a single definition about our practice and therefore we aim to blur the boundaries  and ambiguity between inside and outside, informality and shaped, authenticity and globalised, brutal and delicate, designed and accidental, original and copied, unique and standard, traditional and critical.

Architects by training, after working in several  countries such as Italy, Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Norway, Dubai and Sweden we founded our practice in Rotterdam in 2012. In 2017, we moved to Syracuse, Sicily.
We believe that everything is Architecture and Architecture is scaleless and meaningful. We think that design can make a better world.

We see the our architectural practice as an Exploration of the Spectrum of the Possible in multiple Territories.

We thinks every project is different. We want each project to be relevant and have a direct response to each brief. We refuse a “house style” and we think we can bring something different to every project.

We work with essential forms and structures that can generate objects, spaces and environments to frame the complexity of life.

Our work has been featured in press including Wallpaper* magazine, Elle Decor, Frame, Wired, Living, Interni, Domus, Dwell and presented in the Salone del Mobile in Milan.
